Bishop Hassan Kuka: Buhari only fighting corrupt people not corruption

Bishop Mathew Hassan-Kukah of Catholic Diocese of Sokoto says the government is fighting the symptoms of corruption and not the disease. Hassan-Kukah made the disclosure at a programme organised by the Book Readers’ Club of Ibadan School of Government and Public Policy (ISGPP) in Ibadan on Tuesday. PDP releases zoning of national offices

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Tuesday released its zoning arrangements for the various party offices at the national level. In a report presented by the chairman of the zoning committee, Governor Dave Umahi of Ebonyi State, the position of  National Chairman was zoned to the south, comprising the Southwest, Southeast and the South-south. The North takes the position of National Secretary. The party will now have two Deputy National Chairman, one for the North and one for the South. Other positions zoned to the South include those of the National Treasurer, National Legal Adviser, National Youth Leader, National Organising Secretary, Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Deputy National Woman Leader, Deputy National Auditor and Deputy National Financial Secretary. A Priest is butchered and others held hostage by suspected terrorist in France

A priest has been butchered by knifemen who cut his throat after bursting into a French church and taking hostages before being shot dead by police. Five people including the priest, two nuns and two parishioners were held by assailants who raided the church in Saint-Etienne-du-Rouvray, near the city of Rouen in Normandy at 9am. The priest was knifed to death during the attack while another hostage is fighting for their life. The two attackers have been 'neutralised' by police marksmen.
