Vladica Rajkovic, 28, has admitted to taking the child away from her friends during a birthday party in a garden. The party took place in the 570-person village of Vratarnica, in eastern Serbia.
He revealed to officers that he took the small child to a garbage dump, where he raped, punched, and bludgeoned her with a rock until she died.
The paedophile's father called him during the murder to ask about the girl’s whereabouts. He heard her screams in the background -- then the line went dead.
The father called the police to report his son.
In a photo published by local Serbian media, Rajkovic can be seen with a child sitting on his shoulders. Several others, including Angjielina, the victim, are pictured around him.
Rajkovic told authorities that he had convinced the child to come with him by telling her he would take her for a bath in the river.
He told them that he slapped Angjelina to stop her crying throughout the attack, and continued raping her after her death.
